ABOUT ME

Julia Nemfield is a visual artist in K'jipuktuk (Halifax, NS) working in collage and ceramics. In their practice, they use tactile mediums as a means to explore identity and how it intertwines with human-human / human-object relationships. They spent the last year building a repertoire of greyscale collages to understand their anxieties surrounding the transitional and indistinguishable space they identify as the in-between.
